Kristie understands that going to therapy can be scary which is why she prioritises working collaboratively to understand what has brought someone into The Balmain Practice, and focuses on empowering them to respond to and overcome the obstacles preventing them from living fulfilled and meaningful lives.

Kristie is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney and has a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from Macquarie University. Kristie is also an Adjunct Fellow at Macquarie University, a Board-approved supervisor, and has published in multiple scientific journals.

Kristie has years of clinical experience and a special interest in working with children and teens with complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and their families. She uses a systemic approach in her work with young people and families, using principles from attachment theory and parent management training. Kristie is a Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P) Facilitator, which aims to enhance the attachment security between caregivers and children, as well as empowering caregivers. Kristie additionally has experience supporting adults overcome difficulties including depression, anxiety, panic, obsessions/compulsions, grief and trauma. She tailors her treatment to the individual, and integrates interventions from a range of evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT).

Kristie is available for individual therapy sessions with individuals across the lifespan. When working with children, she believes in partnering with parents/carers to make lasting changes. She is also available for psychometric testing for school-aged children.
